The 2025 Sur-Ron Ultra Bee is a middleweight electric dirt bike built for riders who want full-size motorcycle performance without the weight, noise, or maintenance of a gas-powered machine. Built for Canadian trails, tracks, and backcountry

Whether you ride single-track in Ontario, ride mountain trails in BC, or train on a motocross track, the Ultra Bee is designed to handle it. A 0–31 mph sprint in 2.0 seconds and 0–50 mph in 3.9 seconds put it in performance territory normally reserved for full-size enduro bikes — but at less than half the weight. Six selectable ride modes (Eco, Daily, Sports, Crawl, Reverse, and Turbo) let riders dial in throttle response for the conditions in front of them.

Next-generation electric powertrain

The Ultra Bee's all-new HairPin winding PMSM motor maintains peak power output from 2,000 rpm to 7,000 rpm, giving riders the rare combination of low-end torque and high-end pull in a single bike. Surron's independently developed MTPA/MTPV controller manages power delivery with precision, while the SRTC traction control system (three selectable levels) keeps the rear wheel hooked up on loose terrain. Multi-level regenerative braking and a three-stage adjustable throttle curve allow riders to customize the ride feel from beginner-friendly to race-tuned.

The 74V 60Ah lithium-ion battery pack weighs 47 lbs and is fully removable, making it easy to charge indoors after a ride. With an industry-leading 209 Wh/kg energy density and 988 W/kg power density, the pack delivers up to 71.5 miles (115 km) of range and recharges from 20% to 80% in just 2.5 hours. An automotive-grade BMS with CAN communication and distributed temperature sensors keeps every cell within safe operating limits, and the battery is certified to UN38.3, MSDS, CE, RoHS, and UL standards — backed by over 18 months and 62,000+ miles of real-world testing.

Suspension, brakes, and drivetrain built for abuse

The Ultra Bee features a fully redesigned custom inverted front fork with 9.4 inches of travel, adjustable compression and rebound damping, and 7-series aluminum alloy outer tubes for maximum rigidity. The Intersect TR multi-link rear suspension uses an adjustable airbag shock matched to the Ultra Bee's geometry for consistent grip across rough terrain. Stopping power comes from a high-strength braking system with a 90% increase in caliper rigidity, while the upgraded primary drive uses a carbon fiber core belt (60% stronger than the previous generation) and a tungsten carbide–coated pulley for long service life. Professional-grade 80/100-19 front and 100/90-18 rear off-road tires round out the package.
