Introducing VIN Verification — Confirm Your Sur-Ron Is Officially Imported to Canada

Buying a used Sur-Ron? Wondering if the bike you already own is the real deal? We just launched a free tool that answers both questions in seconds.

Visit verify.surron.ca, enter your VIN, and you'll instantly see whether your bike was officially imported into Canada through Dian Motors — Sur-Ron's authorized Canadian distributor.

Why we built this

The Sur-Ron community in Canada has grown fast over the past few years — and unfortunately, so has the grey market. Bikes brought into the country outside the official import channel often look identical to genuine units, but can leave owners with surprise costs, voided warranties, and even safety hazards.

We want every Sur-Ron rider in Canada to ride with confidence. The VIN Verification tool is our way of giving buyers a simple, trustworthy way to check authenticity before they hand over their money — or to confirm the bike they already own is officially registered.

What you get back

When you enter a VIN that's in our Canadian registration records, you'll see:

  • Bike model, year, and color
  • Original importing dealer
  • NVIS (New Vehicle Information Statement) signed status
  • A clear "Verified Genuine" confirmation

What "Not Registered" means

If we can't find the VIN, the bike was not officially imported by Dian Motors. That means the owner is exposed to several risks:

  • Charger may not be CSA/UL certified for Canada — creating a fire hazard and potential insurance claim issues
  • No service or parts through our dealer network — authorized dealers will not repair unregistered units
  • Potential regulatory gaps — units may lack proper CBSA / Transport Canada documentation
  • Resale and insurance complications — grey-market bikes are harder to sell and sometimes uninsurable

If you end up with a "Not Registered" result, email us at support@dianmotors.com with a photo of the VIN plate — we'll investigate and help where we can. Reporting grey-market units also protects the broader Sur-Ron community.

How to find your VIN

The VIN is printed on the steering-head plate of your Sur-Ron. For most models it starts with HU3 followed by letters and numbers. If you're not sure, your authorized dealer can help locate it.
